Choosing the right Bernedoodle is about much more than picking a favorite color or coat type. One of the most important decisions you'll make is selecting the size that best fits your family, home, and lifestyle. We've spent over 15 years helping families find the perfect match, and we've learned that there is no "best" size, only the size that's best for you.

Micro Mini Bernedoodles
10–24 lbs

Tiny Bernedoodles are our smallest companions, typically weighing 10–24 pounds.

They are an excellent choice for:

  • Apartment or condo living

  • Families who travel frequently

  • Individuals or couples

  • Those looking for a dog that's easy to lift and transport

Although they are small, they still enjoy daily walks, playtime, and being involved in family activities. Their compact size makes them convenient, but they still have the loving, affectionate personality Bernedoodles are known for.

Mini Bernedoodles
25–49 lbs

Mini Bernedoodles generally mature between 25–49 pounds and are one of our most popular sizes.

Mini Bernedoodles are ideal for:
 

  • Active families

  • Homes with children

  • Moderate-sized yards

  • Families wanting a dog that's large enough for adventures but easy to manage
     

Many families find the Mini Bernedoodle offers the perfect balance between portability and the classic Bernedoodle look.

50–90 lbs
Standard Bernedoodles

Standard Bernedoodles typically weigh 50–90+ pounds.

They are well suited for:
 

  • Families with larger homes or yards

  • Owners who enjoy hiking, camping, and outdoor activities

  • Those who love the gentle presence of a larger dog
     

Standard Bernedoodles often have the classic "big teddy bear" appearance that many people picture when they think of the breed. They are affectionate, loyal, and thrive when included in everyday family life.
