I am Tammie Rendon,
and this is my husband Fernando (Fernie) Rendon, owners of Rocky Mountain Bernedoodles. For over two decades, we have been dedicated to breeding quality Doodle puppies with a focus on temperament and health. We pour love and care into each and every puppy.

Located on five acres in Montrose, Colorado, surrounded by the Rocky Mountains and near the San Juan Mountains and Telluride, we have the perfect setting for raising our dogs. We love spending time with our children and grandchildren and enjoy traveling and seeking adventure when not attending to our dogs. We invite prospective Bernedoodle owners to meet us and our dogs by appointment.

Montrose Regional Airport (MTJ) offers year-round flights from major cities. If you plan to pick up your puppy, reserve their ticket in advance and check airline regulations.

With over 35 years in healthcare, I am passionate about educating dog lovers on health testing and crossbreeding benefits. Our program promotes the health and well-being of our four-legged friends. We maintain stable and healthy lines, with breeding dogs residing with us or in loving guardian homes nearby.

Bernedoodles?
We believe in crossbreeding to avoid inbreeding risks and achieve "hybrid vigor," often introducing diversity through European imports. This enhances the health, calmness, and beauty of our hybrids.
Breeding Philosophy & Sizes
Rocky Mountain Bernedoodles breeds three sizes of Bernedoodles: micro mini (10-25 lbs), Mini (30-50 lbs), and some small standard (55-70 lbs approximately). We focus on the mini size and produce a large percentage in that range. Size estimates are provided, and we strive to be as accurate as possible to match families with the right size and temperament.

Parent Health Screening
We conduct thorough health checks using the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) or Vet Diagnostics and partner with Paw Print Genetics to eliminate carriers of diseases. Our screenings include tests for:
Von Willebrand's Disease (vWD)
Progressive retinal atrophy (PRA)
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM)
Progressive rod-cone degeneration (PRCD)
